"Sheer guitar wizardry.”

- Australian Guitar Magazine

Brett Wood is an internationally-respected guitarist, singer and songwriter with a vast array of studio and live performance credits.

Having picked up a guitar at the age of 14, by his late teens Wood was taken under the wing of guitar legend Tommy Emmanuel. This began a lifelong friendship and resulted in Wood making many guest appearances during Tommy’s many shows throughout the USA and Australia. Tommy will appear as a guest artist on Wood’s upcoming solo album.

Brett’s singular talent and work ethic has seen him established as a fixture in the session scene spanning multiple decades in Australia with many of the country’s leading music acts (Pete Murray, Electric Mary, Jason Singh (Taxiride), Graeme Connors, Bonnie Anderson, Felicity Urquhart, Lee Kernaghan and Tania Kernaghan, James Blundell, Carter and Carter, Vanessa Amorosi and Jimmy Cupples.

For over 15 years Wood has been the lead guitarist and creative contributor for Australian pop/rock favourite Pete Murray, and tours globally with hard rock act, Electric Mary.

After decades of working alongside many exciting projects, and returning to his blues roots, Wood is excited to be releasing his own highly-anticipated album of compelling original material later in 2024, with collaborations from industry greats Chris Layton and Tommy Emmanuel.

More special guests to be announced closer to the release.
